Hi guys I got SoF2 recently but it wouldn't work in single player, it went back to the console with an error message "unsupported marker type".  After searching through this forum for answers I tested my .pk3 files in winRAR and found in \base\textures0.pk3 that in \prague\path2.jpg is corrupt.  After copying the file from the CD and trying to reinstall several times, I still had no luck.
So I came here and I'm wondering if I could replace the file if someone sent me it?

Have you checked on the SOF2 faq the file size of that file on the CD, the faq lists the correct size, you might have a bad CD

yeh, i had already checked the size, it was the same, but its just that 1 little jpeg is corrupt, \prague\path2.jpg.  And as the first mission is Prague, it will not load.  
 I wasn't implying that someone send me a 403MB file.  I was wondering if it would be possible if someone sent me the jpeg, and i replaced the corrupt one in the .pk3 file with the new one.  That should work shouldn't it?
 That's probably my only way to fix it, as I can't return the cd because it was a gift.

Why dont you just go to the person and ask if he/she still have the bill? Maybe you can exchange.

why are you useing winrar anyway to check the  pak files  ... why not just use WISER  to verify your installation ?

i did use the wiser program, it told me that not all files were installed correctly.  The thing is, wiser only tells you if sof2 is installed correctly or incorrectly, whereas by using winRAR i found what file was corrupted.  I reinstalled sof2, still didnt work, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, still no luck.

and buster, i can't, my dad got it for me while on business in america (im in australia).

i just wanna know, is it possible to replace the corrupted jpg with a new one???

You could set texture quality to high rather than very high and then it would never reference textures0.pk3 (this is presuming textures1234.pk3 is uncorrupt)

In console, type cg_drawFPS 1

I believe, in single player, this command is case-sensitive (?  corrections welcome)

hmmm, i cant seem to type it in because the game loads too fast.  any suggestions?
