u should have enought memory for the game using that os, so have u got any background programs running, virus scanners / file sharing etc

Im not going to buy more memory to run the game, Iv been playing it fine up to this point. I have all background utils off and use memmax befor starting it, all try increasing my swap file.

Memory is fine for the game, but not at picmip 0; it will use a lot of virtual memory. Try lowering the texture detail or making sure you have plenty of hard disk space left.
