if you ban ip's they can be changed, if you ban cdkeys they can be generated....... why not bad hard drive serial numbers?? who is gonna buy a new hard drive just to cheat online....

Better yet, lets just pull their DMI information, ban their computers serial number/manufacturer type and all that good stuff.   Say you have a Gateway/Dell/HP/Compaq system, whatever, even home built.  Your busted cheating so your DMI information is pulled and the next thing you know, everyone with a Gateway/Dell/HP/Compaq system, or even home built will be banned automatically.

As you can see, the suggestion is basically ludicrous... But then again, most of us think that CD-Key banning falls into the same category.

(and no, you really CAN'T generate a valid cd-key for SOF2, so that's not a worry)
