Q3 has no lag compensation so whats in your crosshair only dies if you got a really low ping.  If you turn anti-lag off you are playing with the exact networking and hit-scan code that quake 3 has.  In quake 3 if you have a higher ping you have to lead your targets to compensate for the fact that players arent extrapolated.  This is what the quake 3 anti-lag project was made.

I just love when a non-programmer gets told how it is by the guy that freakin wrote the game or parts of it, and he has the audacity to sit there and still claim BS.  

If you don't like it, don't play.  I play incessantly, have the benefit of a nice cablemodem connection and have none of the problems that you are talking about.

Perhaps you should get a better connection, or just go away?

Some people just live to whine and complain. I for one have not had one problem with any of the prediction code. Even when it first came out in Quake I never saw any issues like Mr. is describing, and to say that i would have no clue if there was a problem is ignorant. Please if you dont like the game its just like TV, change the channel, turn it off, move on. Just please quit whinning. Its not a perfect world! Live with it, or jump off of it!

Thanks for replying Apoxol. I am always interested how that works. I am surprised you said hl has one of the best net codes around. I will definately say i will agree with that. Killing somebody in hl is quite a bit different...But hey...whats better then sof2!!!
