even better, let's set up a few Cheat-Only servers...   bait them like bee's to honey.

server name:

1337 HAX0RS ONLY - CHEAT SERVER!!

Then anyone dumb enough to join this server gets instantly banned!!!

will u pay it?

and i guess most companies fear these harsh methods, but others; like westwood (red alert2-language filter) use time limited bans that grow after repeated violations..  and people are still playing the game.

erm yep it's kinda harsh but think about it this way : the cheater has already bought the game  :D that will leave him like that :    :s29:

i think the whole thing is a good idea except for the whole mark removal thing.  three strikes is good cause some people still get cheats to try to crack them and help.  its stupid but people do it, they like to fell like they make a diffrence.  but i think that after 3 strikes we ban their key and force them to buy a new copy.  Dont allow them to play anymore with that cdkey....then after a year, put the key back in rotation.  sort of a wicked punishment, but not to the extreme of killing them or their comp.  this way after about 200 dollars they realize that cheating is an exspensive thing and stop or move back to cs.  thats my opinion and is open to critisism as well.

PB is kind of like the "club" for cars.  You know that thing that locks your steering wheel so it can't be driven away.  They say the real professional thiefs can disable that thing in seconds and have your car.  But where it works is on the amateur.   The teenager looking for a joyride, the low-end thief looking to make a quick buck or use it for something else.

Punkbuster is the same.  We may never be rid of the hardcore hackers.  But if we can weed out the amateurs, the guys who found a hack or cheat on the net.  I think punkbuster would elimate these guys making a better playing environment for us all.

Good point!

yeap.  I'm no car theif, however you try to cut through the club, you'll be there forever using a haksaw and even power tools.

Why do that though when you can cut the steering wheel in 10 seconds and just remove the club as if you had the key.

I seen it on dateline..honest!!   :D
