I'm a network admin, presently "between jobs" (company went bankrupt).

Interesting to hear that we'll get loads of new game-developers in a few years.

I prefer not to get a job in computers (I want it to stay a hobby, doing whatever I want and not what my boss wants ), I want to study Politics after my graduation next (school)year. Now most people will probably find me the most boring guy in the world since barely anyone likes politics but for some reason I began to really like it in the last year (before I thought about politics thesame as most people: boring uninteresting stuff).

I have no clue what to do after that study (although I hope to become the next world-dictator )

Out of high school I wanted to be an accountant.  That was supposed to be a good living I guess.  When it came time to send my ACT scores to a school I picked NIU (which was supposed to be a good accounting school), U of I (2nd choice) and Notre Dame (yeah, right).  I got accepted to NIU and U of I right away and ND sent me a letter telling me to apply, which I didn't.  I chose NIU because it was closer to home.  

Anyways, after 3 years of hating accounting my Uncle said he could line up an internship for me with M*t*r*l* if I was a Computer Science major.  So, whiz bang, I switched to CS.  Now, I handle HP-UX issues here on our network.  I'm more of a PC guy than a Unix guy but oh well.  Haven't looked back.  Just finished school a few months back after interning full time and going to class part time.  I faxed in my offer letter acceptance sheet on Friday.  I make a pretty good wage...we'll see how long I can keep from getting laid off!
