Can you tell me which graphics card shouldi get I don't want to spend too much. Maybe between 40$ and 60$. Write know I have: AMD XP 1600+ Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400 256 Mb Ram HP D2828 HP 52 15-inch monitor

oh, on a more serious note, u'd be better off sinkin that $$ into more ram than throwing it away on a card that's no better than the 1 u got..(40-60 won't get u much....for 100 more, u could probly find a Radeon8500LE 128mb....that's the fastest "budjet" card)

I have $0.50 to spend on a new CPU, I have a P4 2.2Ghz right now... does anyone know a better processor for that money?

Write know I have:

For $40-60 there's NOTHING better you can get, a 16MB ATI card sounds rather dubious at best. Don't think ATI have any good cards with that little RAM.
Stick with what you have or triple your budget.

I have a Riva TNT2 Ultra 32mg Card. I was getting 40-65 FPS on inf maps and lower fps on RMG maps. I figured that maybe I need a new video card. Well, I ordered a 64mg Gforce 4 TI4200 for $115.00 and am still waiting for it to be delivered. In the mean time I upgraded my processor from a 700 mhz to a 1.3 Ghz T-bird and I am now getting between 80-115 FPS on Sof2 with my 32mg card. I am told the Gforce will improve gaming in all areas, but I still like my TNT2 Ultra. From what I hear the Gforce is more of a performance chip while ATI will give you better graphics. So I stuck with the Gforce. Plus, Alienware uses it on their gaming Computers. I built my computer by using this website and purchased my CPU procss. and Graphics card from it. http://www.pricewatch.com You can find good deals on all hardware from good vendors. I doubt ATI will give better graphics Nowadays, all cards bring out the maximum amount of graphics from your applications. The deal with nowadays graphics cards is performance and power. For how long can you bring out the best graphics in a game ? Graphics are basically all the same with today's cards.....only a small hint of difference is seen.
