I had the same problem for a loooooong time i would try diferent drivers but the computer would reboot when comming out of sof2 or Q3 but the older games like doom, CS it ran fine. come to find out the last thing i expected it to be and if not for TeamSpeak i'd still have the problem.. i upgraded my sound driversd and everything was fixed.. go figure.

The dll error is simply. It tells you what the problem is in the error message, search for that in your "registry" and delete the key it is found in. There should only be one return on your search. Also, I have no problems with gamma at all. Must be something else. I have not touched my gamma in any game nor have I touched my nvdia control panel. So far I am greatly impressed with the drivers. Oh and 9x support is going to get even more ugly people. When MS ends support for something, generally everyone follows suit and I am sure there have been numerous news items that detail this exact scenario on other sites.

My understanding is that MS will no longer give WQHL approval to Windows 98. They are dropping support for Windows 98. I know that the VIA 4 in 1 drivers which many of you are familiar with have not had (WQHL) support for a few months now. VIA submits the drivers for WQHL for 2000/XP only, and then tweaks them and releases a different version for 98 which is not WQHL. So we just might not see the 40.41's for 98, or at least not WQHL.
