Hey All,

This issue just crept up last night.  Both of my CD drives my burner and DVD-ROM were pretty much shot but the burner would read SOME discs (luckily SOF2 was one of them).

Anyway, I replaced my HP9200i SCSI burner with a TDK 48X24X48 CD/RW.  Until I can replace my main DVD drive I have to use the burner as the primary drive.  Anyway, when I insert SOF2 disc 1 the burner attempts to read the disc, then immediatley an error message comes up stating that demo32.exe (which I assume is the autorun application) has encountered an error and needs to close.  Typical XP error message.  I then go into My Computer and attempt to browse the disc, no luck.  I've tried rebooting the PC and also trying the second CD to no avail.  All other discs that I have placed into the drive thus far do the autorun fine.

Anyone have any idea what might be happening here?  I bought the game the first week that it came out if that helps any.

Thanks in advance.

You might check to see if the disk is clean.
Otherwise, your drive might just have a problem with the CD.  That'd be an issue for TDK support.

My TDK drive reads the disk just fine.  Yours could be defective or scratched/dirty disk like Rev said.
