And why multi hates my mouse???
I have the patch for wheel but it doesn't work now.
I had both #3 and #4 button working but then they just decided to stop working.

I have the Logitech Dual Optical and it works great. Best mouse ever, but Logitech's drivers are absolute crap!

1. Do Not use Logitech's drivers. Use the Windows default drivers except with Windows 98 because you can't turn off mouse acceleration, then use Microsoft's Intellipoint drivers.

2. in_mouse "1" = Direct input. in_mouse "-1" = Windows Input if I'm not mistaken.

Sometimes in Windows 98 it will completely kill the mouse if you use the Logi drivers. I mean the mouse is detected, the cursor is there but it will not respond at all. I've never figured this one out, but it happens sometimes, and not others.

Also certain buttons won't work with certain games. The wheel fix works in some and breaks it in others. For example in Serious Sam when you go to bind Wheelup/down to anything it rebinds it to the next thing you click also....just a general mess.

Which version of mouseware do you use Freak? I am running Windows 98 SE at the moment, maybe I'll try installing Mouseware for the fun of it again. Last time I tried they would kill the mouse. I reinstalled w98 over and over trying to figure it out and every time everything was fine until I installed Mouseware and rebooted, then the mouse was dead.

I just uninstalled MS Intellipoint and installed the Logitech 9.73 Mouseware and it seems to be working fine so far. I DID NOT have to use the Game Wheel Registry fix at all this time. Either something left over from the MS drivers fixed it or Logitech finally fixed it themselves. Bout friggin time.
