Cheating accusations are at an all time high and it is a sore subject for alot of people, hence the replies you got.

As for the sniper rifle missing seemingly dead on shots.  I've encountered that many times and have numerous friends that have as well.  I will have the crosshair dead on a stationary target and miss as many as 5 times in a row.  I've pretty much written this off as some sort of clipping bug.  I've also been able to counter it sometimes by zooming in more.  

Example:  I'll have the crosshair centered on a stationary target's head (only their head is showing) and will miss.  I zoom in to 10x and the same shot hits them.  I haven't done any specific tests on this so I can not say 100% that it's not some odd combination of frame-rate, ping, etc... but in general my ping is pretty consistant where I play as is my frame-rate.

It does seem to happen more frequently in certain areas.  One that comes to mind is the back stairway on the shop playing as red.  Leaning around the corner at the bottom of that stairway I will often miss when someone sticks their head out at the top of the stairway.  

Not sure exactly what causes this but I know it isn't because my target is cheating.

Even more stupid is when clan members are yelling 'he's cheating!'.... sure, it isn't good either when it's just an individual but at least he makes himself look like a n00b and nobody else. Clan members on the other hand make their entire clan look stupid when they do that.

the only thing I can say about this is that cheaters will always be able to hide behind the inconsistancies of online gaming, gamers of different skill levels playing against each other gamers of with different equipment playing (analog modems agains dsl or cable modems) people would much rather believe that its the skill level of the player or a problem with the connection rather than someone intentionally cheating. Yes there are some very skilled people out there but come on admit it there are cheaters out there too, and the number is growing daily because most think its "cool" to cheat. This is a trend that will continue to grow and as the recording and movie industries are finding out it is nearly impossible to give a product total protection. I see things eventually coming to a head where people would be willing to pay for the ability to play on a server where they can be almost guaranteed of no cheating and have mods who monitor all gameplay which is truley sad in itself. Me, I dont cheat altho I may accuse some of cheating wrongly sometimes its just because Ive seen enough cheating to be fed up with it. And what makes me angrier is the fact that the people who are actually caught or proven to be cheating by someone actually seem proud about it and brag incessantly. I hope (probably futily) that this will stop without having to clamp down on everything but I doubt it. Everyone always says if you think Im cheating go to another server but if all the servers have cheaters on them where can we go for an honest fun game?

I was was present to a player cheating only once, and it was hilarious...the map was hk2, and smoka was specin this guy, and on the screen i see:

 spec:  the game would b alot more fun without that wallhack

 i dug it, finally, theres one and he actually admitted it.  i have played the game since its release (mp test got by me) and a few times a day i will see on the screen:  NICE AIM,
and OMG THAT GUY HAS GOD CHEAT I SHOT HIM LIKE 100 TIMES...
rarely, some1 will say i am cheating (some of my clan bros get it all the time), and in no way am i offended.  from their response, i know that i am improving.

There is one way that people do a low-tech cheat.  Friends in Real life who play on opposite teams and keep each other imformed about where teammates are over the phone or a roger wilco type thing.

I was once in an elimination game where an opponent claimed to have a wallhack and even called out the location of people on the oppossing team.  Not sure if he had the above help or an actual cheat

I had several shots lined up the other night but screwed it up and got killed.

What is irritating is when you happen upon a freshly spawned guy and he doesn't take damage right away but can dish it out on you immediately.

HOW DO YOU DEFEND AGAINST THAT!

It's nice spawning in the flames and not getting hurt but I would rather take that chance than not be able to strike my enemy down when I come upon him even if he is respawning.

And no I am not a spawn point camper. When you run and gun as much as I do you are bound to run into the spawners. Especially in Prague streets.

Man i have the same prob with jk2 you know star wars jedi outcast you know if the server has cheats enebled cos when its loading the map you see "cheats are enebled" so when i see that i just disconnect. Cheating in mp sucks man it's really not fair. RAVEN REALLY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

after a few days i have found out that the are some dead spots in maps where you can just not shoot from. If you look close sometime you can see shot hit walls where it looks like the other person is. Sometime i have notice you can see some behind a wall but you can not shoot them because that are behind wall anyone else notice this??? Still loving the game and Mandown new version i beleave everyone should go download, It makes the game much more real like.
