Hey guys wondering if I could get some help. when i make a house i make doorways not rooms with doors, but when I'm finished and make the sky to surround it there is always a leak. I do not get it. the leaks or the red line always go through every doorway. is there a certain way to make a doorway or something? what am i doing wrong? do i have to subtract it or what? also how do i make lightbulbs look real and fire for like a fireplace?

are u sure there is not a gap??
or have u made any of them detail brushes??

as for the lightbulbs i have not found a good way of doing it, they are just models. i prefer just to use the texturs for lights cause they look lit up in game.

dont know about the fire, there is a hot coals texture in kamchatka u might find usefull

thanks. but is there a certain way of making a room and adding a doorway?  and what do you mean by detail brushes?

detail brush is ceated when u right click on a brush and select detail brush, im guessing u did not do that

to make a doorway, if the rooms are simalr size or u cannot go out side the room, just use a shared wall between them, then the wall should be in 4 pieces (avoid the subtract tool) then just resize them to u get the size of door u want, depending on howur floor is done u may need to add a small bush at the bottom of the door if there is no floor there.

if u dont use 1 wall make both half as thick, and do the same as above.

also are u sure the leak is at the doorway?? following the red line can be hard sometimes whne it doubles back on its self and goes in all sorts of stranges paths,

Doors do not block vis, therefore they can't be used on the outer walls of your map.

Lights are usually models.

Fires are effects.

How I make doors is by using the clip brush. I split the wall at the height I want the door to be. Then split the wall two more times to get the width of the door. Afterwards I delete the middle brush left over, or, use it for the actual door.

Hard to explain without pictures...
