sof2 benchmark

in case u don't know how to run a timedemo, type "timedemo 1"[enter]"demo bench"

i got 48.5 with all settings on high, 76.4 after tweaking my settings...

Thanks Freak.... this has been a long time coming.  When I get a chance later today I will post my results.  People should post their system specs and settings.  Hopefully, we will get some ATI 9700 numbers down the road.  I have been looking at that card but don't see it as a big jump over my 4600... but I would like to run everything with "stropic"  and "alias" set to max if I could.

LOL, timedemo in sof2 is even funnier than q3, the footsteps crack my @ss up. anyway, with my barely tweaked cfg (likely around medium settings except picmip 4) 32 bit everything, no AA, 1024 X 768.

Start with the best case you can get and load up on the fans... I have a lian li pc 12 with a plexi side panel 2 80mm intake fans... 2 80mm front intake... 2 80mm rear exhaust.. 92mm blowhole... 370 watt dual fan power.  Nothing over- heats.......

i like my enlight case, i just need a new mobo, cpu, ram and video card  

This fall will roll out some exciting stuff.  I understand that Pricewatch already has the 2.8gig pent4 out.  I really wonder what AMD will eventually do come November.  Rest assured, come Christmas there will be some huge gains in speed, both in video cards and CPU's.
