I got SOF2 a week or so ago...  I intalled it, and it seems fine,  I can play multiplayer fine no probs.  BUt I can not play the single player version at all, it opens but when I click play it just sets there, it doesn't freeze it just does not react to the play button.  it also won't let me play the random mission either.  does the same thing.

any ideas?

nobody can help with this???

seems like a rip off to me, I bought SOF2 and can't even play the single player mode.

It could at least give me a error message instead of just sitting there!!!!!!!

Try starting out by listing your detailed system specs as well as driver revisions your running.

Also, download and run the WISER file checker from the sticky thread titled "SoF2 Installment Checker"  Any errors that it finds means you need to copy that particular file directly from the CD and see if that helps.

"Some files are incorrectly installed"

Means that you have to manually install these files from the cd to your hard drive. Drag and Drop should do. I think you find the pk3 files on your 2nd cd, if memory serves me right.

When wiser popup says error look at the file name where program got upto and that's the pk3 it failed on.

With the .pk3 that comes up as Corrupt
Delete it
Run Defrag & Scandisk
Copy it off the CD directly to the SoF2 Base folder

.pk3's are split between the 2 CD's in each ones setup\base dir
CD1 -> models, mp, musicandsound, skins & therest
CD2 -> maps,textures0 & textures 1234

Or if you wish you can just copy all of them

Ok, it goes all the way through the files. the progress bar goes all the way across.  The last file it lists in sof2.exe

but it still says that there are some files that are not installed right.

Look at your cd and make sure it's clean and free of scratches then manually copy the files from it to your base directory.
