why is it that i never get above 4KB/s when auto-downloading a map? is it because of a cap on servers?

Could be maybe they want to protect bw for people playing on the server. Better to disconnect and download from a dedicated map site rather than get it from game server.

yeah, u would be betta to disconnect and try it that way cause u can get above 60kb... i love blueyonder broadband but if u was downloading a map, i would be very careful, cause thats how people get alot of viruses on sof2... like the freezing when they get to mp5 n ####, and cant load maps, performed an illegal move... so just be careful m8

The reason it's capped between 3 and 5 KB is because thats the same amount of data sent to you from the server when your playing...this way it wont lag the server in anyway
