For some reason, i am unable to make my server pure. Ive tried putting it in the cfg file "seta sv_pure 1", ive killed the server and when i restarted it i added +set sv_pure 1 "./sofstart +set sv_pure 1".  But the server is still unpure.  These methods seem to work for everyone else, can anyone tell me if im doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

i use telnet to kill the server and to start it. the command for starting the server is ./sofstart

and your sure +set sv_pure 1 gets passed to the real command line of the app?  That should be all you need, hmm.  When you rcon into the server and check what sv_pure is set to what does it say?

it says sv_pure 0

when you put +set sv_pure 1 as a paramter to your script that starts sof2 are you sure its getting tagged onto the sof2 command line?

im pretty sure, is there a way to verify this?

well .. from a batch file .. if you start it with

"SoF2MP.exe" +set sv_pure 1

it starts a pure server

so why not make a batch file and run that from your telnet client.  What client are you using btw? I'll tell you if it sends the rest of the commandline after it execs the program or at the same time.

i use a thing called putty

If you are using telnet (I STRONGLY recommend you switch to SSH telnet is unsecure) and running a bash script (UNIX box) then make sure your script can take args at the end.

IE it should look something like this:

-- start cut --
#!/bin/sh
cd /usr/local/games/sof2
./sof2ded $1 $2 $3 $4

-- end cut --
That way anything you type AFTER you script will be passed to sof2ded.
