I had this problem since I first installed sof2
I cant play. When i click  start game, play, play tutorial...    nothing happens not even an error message
I reinstalled it   but its always the same
I also downloaded latest drivers

OS: win 98 se   p3 533mhz      192 mg ram      
     nvidia tnt2 m64 pro           sound blaster pci128

What can I do      plz help

Have you run the installation checker as outlined in the FAQ?

I dont think the the tnt2 vid cards are supported by sof2. I could be wrong though..........

Plays on my other system with a tnt2 m64.

Can you download the following application and run it?  It will take quite a while to run but will tell you if your installation is corrupt at all.

If any files are bad you can try cleaning off your cdroms and either manually copying the files or reinstalling the game.

it says that i have corrupt files but  what can i do  
reinstalling the game cannot change anything

Try copying the corrupted files directly from the CD rather then trying to use the installer.

it appears that my   maps and models .pk3 are smaller in my sof2 directory than on the cd  

i tried to copy/paste them manually but when it gets to the size of the old file, it says  :

Cannot copy models : Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

and now my old  maps and models .pk3 are gone  cause i overwrited them and it didnt work

what the fff... is going on how can i access those files and what means the error  message

With the .pk3's that come up as Corrupt
Delete them
Run Defrag & Scandisk
Copy them off the CD directly to the SoF2 Base folder

.pk3's are split between the 2 CD's in each ones setup\base dir
CD1 -> models, mp, musicandsound, skins & therest
CD2 -> maps,textures0 & textures 1234

Also if your CPU is overclocked this may cause problems when copying.
