You have to be kidding me. I think you just like to wish they didnt exist.
Are there also no homesless people in the world? Or parentless children? Get your head out of the clouds. |

Have a mechanism for restoring people. Use that as warnings.
Then, if people have been on and off the list X number of times, ban them for good. |
meh, if that was the way it was done in CS i wouldn't be able to play at all. i can't count the number of times ive been kicked because the admin swore i was wallhacking, aimbotting, using flashbang removal....... the bottom line is not all admins can accuratly judge if someone is cheating. |

In my opinion it es wrong to ban cheaters from the multiplayer-game forever. But it should be possible to add a "Known As Cheater hint" in the playlist (NAC; in red letters! . So the people on the server should judge by themselves if they want to play with this "known cheater" or kick him due voting. As mentioned before a "witchhunt" is #### - So it is on Ravensoft to bring on a patch which is able to dectect if a cheat is used - and than report this "cheater" to the masterserver. From this time on it won't be fun playing as "known cheater" with high scores . After the first wave of "NAC"s in the scoreboard one will think twice before using a cheat |

There probably is no real answer to cheating. Everyone has their own ideas on how to handle cheaters, and no one is totally right or wrong. I don't need cheaters, since I am easy enough the way it is, if you need an aim bot to shoot me, then one would have to really bad, of course their use is for good players not me. Will there ever be a time where there are no cheaters?? NO... just like there will never be a program that won't be hacked, someone will always hack the code. The best we can really hope for is coding in the game to help prevent hacks as much as possible, and admins that can judge well. If someone really wants to hack a game and get some ranking somewhere so he/she looks good, its going to happen. The problem will always be how to prove it. Servers have the right to ban whoever they please, no reason needed, they pay the cost to run it and can ban for any reason. Lets hope there are not enough hacks where servers start banning anyone that is good, there are enough games now where a good player will get a vote called to kick them out(voting another problem:) )..... I have really stated nothing new or helpfull to this message thread, but I can't help but write now and then, since in the game I never have time to type too many messages. Last night my son was playing cs and someone kept talking and laughing the whole time in this one game. I want a RW feature so bad, then I hear that and think, maybe not... but like everything else, if we try and stop everything and everyone we think is wrong, there would be no one left to play. I enjoy playing in SOFII and have a good respect for about 99% of the players, and I want to keep it that way. Its an issue that has to be dealt with, but in a non-emotional way, thats the hard part! |
