I hope this comes along soon, as we've already had confirmed examples of SOF2 aimbots being used on our servers :(

As far as i have been told, punkbuster for rtcw works great, it was just the counterstrike one that didnt work that great.

a post on the UrT forums points out that PB for CS was 'double threaded, while PB for Quake is 'single threaded'...

which (apparently) means that PB for Quake is running entirely within Quake, while the CS flavor had an external component.  So PBQ should be a lot harder to hack than the CS version, which was usually cracked the day after a release.

looking forward to it, in any case.

it is not widely distributed, one of our guys is actually chatting with the creator at the moment and having a rather strange conversation. This guy want us to beat him, so he can write another bot lol! This is a very very very strange person!

One part of me see's his sense another part is just disgusted by his behaviour. But over all I just think what a waste of a brain!

the fact that punkbuster was built in to RTCW made people use it, their were very few servers for cs which requied u use it, and in cs it could be make optional as well hmm  ???
