FireStarter demo has been released today. It is brought to us by the same developers of Stalker: Oblivion Lost, a much anticipated game. Here's the news GCS Game World posted:

A demo of FireStarter is on the net. A download of slightly over than 64 Mb will let you form an idea of the game. The demo includes a level from the first game episode and one playable character - Policeman. Both single- and multiplayer modes are available. A valuable addition to the demo is a benchmark mode providing you with a possibility to test the performance of your machine.

You can download the demo here:

I was going to make a post on this yesterday but after playing around with the demo I thought not and leave it alone as I didn't find it all that appealling. This could be due to the lack of a current video card though so I will have to try it out at a later date to confirm it. It still needs a bit of work I think however the potential is there.

They do need to work on the keyboard commands as I like to do things a bit different but that was just one observation. This game, if you didn't know, is using a stepping stone for the X-Ray Game engine (Stalker) that I am waiting for with high anticipation.

From way up North (It be cold up here)
Frozen Fox

Cheers

I played the demo on a good computer and it still wasn't too good. Definitely lacking somewhere.

I think it's cold by me (NJ, USA with a few feet of snow last weekend) and it must be colder by you, Fox. Hang in there.

The game did lack something however they did mention that it has been a test bed for their X-Ray engine and made the promise that Firestarter would finish and cost about $29.00 US. This game btw also includes single player and Co-op (Which is to rare to see these days)

At the moment I'm using a dial up just south of Yellowknife (Look for it on a map then you should by all rights shiver)

lol

Lots of fur on this dog so have no fear I'll be home tomorrow and then probably up here again next week.

brrr even the ice cubes have frost bite.

;)

Cheers

Yup, real man weather.

Either that or the pay is good. In this case the Beer and Rum are free but I still can't understand why the ladies keep running away from me. I showered last month after all. [devilishgrin]

Must be picky

Cheers
