It all depends... if I'm going straight hardcore, then no, I turn off all music and just listen for footsteps and ####.  But, 75% of the time, I want some music to get me fired up!

Usually I'll listen to some fast techno'ish stuff like "Needle Sharing", "Converter", "Venetian Snares", that whole style.  On the other hand, if I'm in a bad mood - it's time for some some "Blood for Blood" or "Anal Blast", y'know really fast madness.  And oddly enough, I feel some rap fits now and then..especially when I've been drinking..heh.. I'll nod my head and ####, not pay too much attention to the game and end up doing better.

I usually like to listen to anything with a good rythem to it "Basia, Enya, Acoustic Alchemy, Bob Marley, Etc."  The music keeps me calm and keeps me thinking smoother and faster, allowing a better game play.  but thats just me.  and if im in a bad mood the same music will calm me down and allow a better game eventually.

I havn't tried to crash mine yet...wondering if anyone else did :)

I listen to my own sh*t. It varies from time to time, mood and such, but things like Do or Die - Dj Screw - UGK - DMX - Tool - Twista - Nate Dog & variouse others - Killah Priest of course - Wu Tang - Simply a mix of all the sh*t i have.
I turn the sound effects in the game all the way up, and on my music player i turn it down to the proper level, that way i still here the foot steps as that is VERY important. Helps to enter the "zone" and go killin crazy muuaaahhhhh
