After playing a full weekend after the patch and the MP5 being available I like the new gun and what it has to offer.

After a couple of days of novelty, I have gone back to using the AK, but the MP5 does offer a degree of flexibility and another element to the game.

It helps flesh out the stealth aspect.  After using the MP5 a little and havening watched others use it, it’s definitely a gun to hide and creep around (not stay camping in a single spot) and pick off stragglers or wounded opponents.  Great for unsuspecting flank attacks too.

It’s not a gun that you want to rely on when you’ve got several of the enemy baring down on you full throttle out in the open, though.

Nice gun in the right hands with the right type of play.  It’s not my type of play, so I’m not using it much except for a little variety from time to time.

When I hear the typewriter going though, it goes make me look around a lot more in case someone’s trying to pick me off.

I, myself, always loves the "recon" sense of playing games.

Being upfront yet somewhere the enemy doesnt know where you are. Being a general ass in the enemy's food.

The MP5 seems to be best when used from cover.   I’ve noticed that if you’re trying to hide from someone’s view near an obstacle (tree, wall, but particularly those two sided walls with a corner in the open) at a distance from the enemy, it’s most effective to not hide behind the obstacle, with it between you and the enemy.  But, to disguise yourself using the obstacle at your back.  That way, the enemy won’t see your silhouette as you fire the MP5 at them.  They’ll have a hard time seeing you because you’ll be blending in to whatever is directly behind you and they won’t see you shooting at them with the Mp5 since it’s suppressed.

Of course, if they do see you, you’ll be sitting there with something at your back and the enemy in front of you.

When I use it I hide/camp I usually use my secondary to pin down the enemy while priming a nade and such, unless hes backing off with accuate hail of gunfire coming twards u, I would suggest charging him straight.

the MP5 has a secondary fire???
