Put FX Quality at Medium and Detail Textures to OFF gives me steady 66 FPS in most situations. (com_maxfps 66) Everything else is on High quality and r_picmip 0

/cg_drawFPS 1 this will display your FPS in the upper right hand corner

/com_maxFPS xx will set the number of MAXIMUM FPS you want. I have mine set to 125, therefore my FPS can go no higher then 125 frames. Of course replace xx with the desired number you want to be capped at(just making sure, there are some pretty dumb people out there, lol)

i get between 23-41 fps on my old 650 athlon in 1024x768 at 32 bit and its still playable so what really is the big deal its not gonna play any faster over the net when you take into account ping rate

there is noticeable diffrence in frames, most people claim not to be able to tell the diffrence, but most of the time they've never gotten it up to 100FPS. The game glides smoothly with no hiccups, or brief skips when at this speed. It may not make your connect any faster(in fact makes it a tad slower b/c the server has to send you more info) but it's a lot less strain on your eyes, and it just feels alot smoother.
