Yeah, flare "fast" for test compiles. For example:

flare -verbose -fast -DumpOptions -MaxVerts 8000000 -MaxPolys 4000000 -game uo "C:\Program Files\Game\uo\maps\mp\mp_uo_%MAPNAME%_%MAPVER%"

You won't need the MaxVerts / MaxPolys options unless you're building a really large map.

A slightly slower (but better lit version) is:

flare -verbose -sundiffusesamples 2 -DumpOptions -game uo "C:\Program Files\Game\uo\maps\mp\mp_uo_%MAPNAME%_%MAPVER%"

And for full lighting:

flare -verbose -extra -sundiffusesamples 10 -MaxVerts 8000000 -MaxPolys 4000000 -MaxOccluders 40000 -DumpOptions -game uo "C:\Program Files\Game\uo\maps\mp\mp_uo_%MAPNAME%_%MAPVER%"

The first option takes me around 2-3 minutes on my system. The last option takes around 4 hours. The second one takes about 30 minutes to light. I generally run -fast during the evenings as I do my test compiles every hour or two, then I setup to run a full lighting compile overnight when I go to bed.

Dunno... I use a batch file to compile my CoD:UO map (Tuchola Forest). I talk about my batch file in the map preview thread. Once I got a working batch file, it takes about 5 minutes (max) to setup a new revision of the map files and start compiling the old revision while I start to work on the new revision number.

I have a problem with this because my computer doesnt know what kind of file the cod.qe4 file is so it cant open it... can anyone help me here???

use notepad or wordpad to open it to edit it, however - there are alot easier ways to compile for cod or coduo...both by writing a very simple bat or using one of the front end compilers (which basically write and run the .bat for you) that you can find in the download sections for each respective game (utilities)

omg.... this didnt work at all, instead, it deleted all my saved cod maps and wont let me access radiant.... thanks?

Wait, nvm.. it worked, but idk how to make a bsp file =\
