thank you very much!


i've another question. i read that for the "no 'call of duty' " error the solution should be to reinstall in the default directory.

reinstall what? cod? or just the tools?

in case it's the whole cod to be reinstalled i cant as my c: drive is too small. is there a way out?

"default" is ".../Call of Duty" instead of "../cod" or something like that..

you can install it on any drive you want. So "d:/Games/Call of Duty" is ok.

And you'll have to reinstall CoD. Because Radiant installs itself in the CoD install folder.

in the first line it says: "cd d:\Call ofDuty\tools\bin"..

Now.. the polish after that probably means something like "path or directory not specified" right?

That's because your "Call ofDuty" folder does not exist. it's called "Call of Duty". Not the extra space. For the rest it should work

The error is higher up in your compile log


How to get your compile log:

when your .bat runs...it opens a command window.


In your command window, before pressing any key to close the window,
rightlclick and select "Select All". The text will then turn white. Press "Enter".
You've now got it copied to your clipboard and can paste it anywhere you want.

or:

Before pressing a key the first time click the icon in the upper left of the cmd window
click edit --> select all and press enter. This has copied the log to the clipboard
for you to paste to a text file or preferably to a forum reply for help you do this
for all three times copy paste...copy paste...copy paste

is that what You want?

yes...

two errors:
1) Duplivate plane.. that means you've got two brushes occupying the exact same space. Delete those.. start with the highest numbered one!.
Go to Misc->Find Brush and type in the brushnumber.. this selects the brush.

2) Lightmap allocation failed. It means brush #14 is too big. Find it in the same way as 1) and cut it into smaller pieces. Recompile. Most likely there are more of these errors along the way.

If the brush #14 is part of your skybox there might be a leak instead. Skybox brushes shouldn't be affected by this error, unless there is a leak somewhere.
