Thx for the patch. Will servers with this patch not be playable if you have 1.0 version? Also it says here: http://www.shacknews.com/docs/press/071002_sof2_patch.x- Added new video card cfgs. Is that a potential fps fix? Or whats the 'deal' with it? |

I figured I wouldn't be able to play v1.0 servers, my favorite server had patched already , but noone else was on . Rocket launcher looks good, can't wait to try it... The term 'rocket whore', I expect to hear more of . Silenced gun might be handy for night missions or 'long grass' missions, seems inaccurate though. I can't wait to try new maps, juz need more people with patch to play with... What about a Crossbow next time, with function like sniper rifle but only 2x or 3x zoom, but would be more powerful and take longer to reload. Or a poison dart gun, damage takes a slow but steady effect, also slow to reload and not cumulative ie: multiple darts extend the 'poisoning' effect, not make it kill quicker. Or a set of numbchucks that you can use to attack with lmb and also block a certain percentage of bullets with the same moves (lmb), right mouse button could throw it as two sticks of dynamite... Btw Blade, I'm thinking of getting a Epox mobo, what are they like? |

Well, I downloaded and installed the patch. Now SP is completely unplayable, when before it was tolerable (if messy and a tad slow). I can't even get into the options menu w/out a lot of patience, since the frame lag is about 1 frame for every 20 seconds. Hunting down the low-contrast mouse courser is a lot of fun, too. I'm running an 'obsolete' system, but can't even begin to think of upgrading it in the immediate future, due to being laid off a year ago and not even making enough money to pay rent around here at my pip-squeek job at the hospital. -Pentium 3 750 -360Mb RAM - Diamond Viper V770 32Mb (NVidia Riva TNT2 chipset) The problem appears to be in the video card; the SP game claimed it "found a new video card" and promptly set the parameters to TNT1. This absolutely does not work. MP is fine so far; although I'm not surprised since it seems to be almost an entirely different game and codebase. Any ideas on how to tweak this so it works, outside of my finding $100 on the sidewalk to buy a new video card??? -Dragon999 |

Your absolutly correct.
#### i get less FPS, and more bugs now from this patch.
I now get that "Visible Sound Bug" that shows graphical errors that others once talked about.
Gotta love this game, hah... lol |
