Another post says they didn't have servers to be used for the auto-updating quite ready.

You do understand that even after the "German" patch is released that you wont be able to play on US/UK version servers, and you will still be playing as an Android... right?

What if you take a german version and a US version of the game, do a 'diff' so to speak on both versions, and release it as a patch to convert German -> US version? Would there be any legal problems with that? Since it's a diff there are no full binaries being disclosed thus without the original German binary, the patch would be useless. I think that would fall under reverse engineering laws which would be legal in a lot of non-US countries and thus would avoid copyright laws. (Think it would fall under fair use too?) Also since the one doing the patch already has a license for Soldiers of Fortune 2, I don't believe it would make a difference if he had a German or US version right? A license is a license. Only thing I could think of is that is would be illegal for Raven to create/spread the patch themselves because they are legally obligated to only sell non-blood versions in Germany, but once bought the owner of the game can do whatever they want to it right? Just wondering legal wise what would be the case here.

Regardless of the legalities surrounding a german/US/UK patch, why would anyone playing the german version (I'm presuming that they are in Germany) want to connect to a US server, the ping / lag would be terrible. It might not be so bad for the UK servers, but really, where's the use?
