I just put this new page up on PlanetSoldier.com.
It contains comprehensive information about all of the entities and triggers necessary to support the stock Raven gametypes, as well as preliminary information about the new Demolition gametype coming in the patch.

But that's not all!
It will also contain comprehensive entity-trigger profiles for custom gametypes for SoF2.
Currently, the only custom gametype listed is my own Kill the Man with the Ball, but I hope the list will grow as the mod community grows.

If you're a mapper working on a new map, and want to make sure it supports the most gametypes possible, be sure to drop back by the Gametype List regularly to see if there have been any new updates!

If you're a modder working on a new gametype, and would like to see future user-made maps support your gametype, then please take a look at the Kill the Man with the Ball entry (and other entries), send me the necessary information, and I'll get your custom gametype added to the database.
( Note: I would suggest that you at least have your gametype running properly (if not necessarily released) before you submit information to the Gametype List.  It won't do you or a mapper any good if he adds in a bunch of entities that aren't going to actually work because you changed your gametype later. )

The page also contains information about the .arena file, recommended standardized map release formats, gametype-specific brushes, assigning teams to your map, and other useful stuff.  Check it out!

Well lookit that, not a day later and already new gametypes showing up.

I've added information regarding GODh's "GoldRush" gametypes CCTF and Goldrush to the Gametype List.

I also added a team I was missing to the team list.

So for those of us making a map for the contest on planetsof, can we make it support all the gametypes if we want instead of just ctf, dm, and inf? Thanks

The rules state that it must support CTF, INF, and DM.  There is no stipulation saying that you can't support more, if you are so inclined.

How about a little info on the code changes required to add a new Gametype.

I'm trying to add a gametype modelled on 'DM',  so I've copied the gt_dm  directory,  and changed as necessary to my new gametype,  and I've added it into the project fine.   It now gets compiled without problems.   So what else do I need?  Whats a Gametype Script,  & how do I modify the code to pick up the gametype.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking through the code for the Gametype script parsing,  it appears you can set a basegametype variable to allow you to use a custom Gametype based on another gametype so you don't need to alter as much code.  Anyone else seen this, or tried it?
