Well, I seem to set off the alarm even with the silenced pistol. From what I remember of SoF 1, this demo must be set to a very difficult game level of play. I'm pretty sure even in the SoF 1 demo, there was a way to set the game to easy. There are no such options for SoF 2 Demo. I may get flamed for this, but I usually play games in easy mode. After all, I play them to have fun, not to get overly frustrated. So, my question remains, is there a way to change the game play level to easy by altering a file? I'll start the level over again, I don't care about that. I just need to be able to take more fire without dieing. Or, like I had asked, are there any cheats for the demo. I can use them to give myself more health/armor when absolutely necessary. |

The levels easy I just beat it, I'll give you a walk through: Start off and wait for guard #1 to go around the corner, shoot guard #2 in the head with pistol from behind. Go in the door, down the stairs and make it to the cheifs room without seeing anybody (the room with the alarm next to it) kill him in his sleep, take the key and go back outside. Go up the first stairs, then the 2nd, open the bridge door, go in and kill the dude at the controls without him seeing you. turn around, open the door and go down the stairs. Turn right open the door and kill the guy inside. go back through the other door and go outside. go down the right stairs, kill the guard move forward then turn left. go through the gap in boxes, then turn right and kill the guard quick before he sees you. Go up the ladder and hit the lever. Go behind you and down the stairs and get the armor (shouldn't be needed if you weren't hit ) Now run back inside the way you came from, hit the switch where you killed the guy. now fight your way to where that crate was lifted. now jump down the hole in the corner of the floor and wala! complete! |

Toxic, Thanks for your reply. I've sneaked downstairs twice now, and the one door that a lock doesn't show up on, just won't open. I'm pressing "use" to open the door, but it won't open. It's one of the tan/brownish doors, right? Am I doing the right thing? Do I need to get something before I open that door, like a key off a dead guard? I'm sneaking straight down there from the start without killing anyone first. Everytime I kill someone, even with the silenced pistol, the alarm goes off. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug in the program? Please help if you can. |

Thanks for all your help, Toxic, I did appreciate it. But in the end I used the cheats to beat this mission, sorry. I'm not impressed with SoF 2, it's nothing like the original. I've been reading the posts on it, and if I had the full game I'd probably agree with those who are criticizing it. It definitely needed a lot more work before being released. It's a shame, because SoF 2 was one of the games I was waiting for. I can only hope that the devs of Deus Ex 2 don't make the same mistakes. I'd rather wait years for a game, than to get one like SoF 2. Nevertheless, I admire those of you who have the devotion to enjoy this. It's not for me. |
