you can shoot through walls with AWP and deagle in CS without hacks,  you just aim and fire, same with ak47, m4a1, scout, m249 and others.

The lack of bullets going through walls and objects annoyed me as soon as I got into the multiplayer demo.  Some guy with a shotgun hiding behind a thin plastic, metal and cloth cubicle wall and I see his foot. I fire a clip into where his head would be and he doesn't even flinch.  I rush up to him to check it out, and he blasts me point blank.  My kidney is left somewhere on the opposite wall.

Doors definately for all weapons.

The machine gun (the one no one really uses) would be nice, as someone said earlier.  It could literally be used to mow down anything over one foot tall, and probably get used a bit more.  The sniper rifle, same deal.  Right now, anything but a headshot means you need two rounds to take down people... a lot of the time, two rounds is one too many.

There needs to be a distance and material modifier to allow for realistic interaction.  Different materials allow for different "pass through distances".  Right now, the level designer can define what particle is shown at time of collision.  That means the game knows what material is hit, so just carry that into figuring out how easily the bullet can pass through the material. Wood, easy.  Cloth, even easier.  Metal, tough.  Stone, tougher.

This way, you'd be able to deal with those shotgun punks that you can see the tip of their gun from around the corner but can't take them out unless you rush after them or spam them out with some grenades.

This is something that Soldier of Fortune 2 should have had in it when it shipped.

The shooting-through-walls bit is what makes CS a fun game to play, nothing better than wallbanging people :)

Anyhoo, there were hacks in CS a long time ago that allowed people to shoot through walls much more effectively than was meant to be possible (ie people shooting the other team from their spawn to the other) but they changed the code so it wasn't possible. Now wallhacks in CS only allow you to see through walls and not shoot through them more effectively.

Cheaters in SoF2 were rare as rocking horse sh1t when I stopped playing it. so being able to shoot through walls would be a welcome addition, as it would add another dimension to the game (though it would change it a #### of a lot). It doesn't really matter if it makes it easier to cheat or not because people who cheat aren't worth playing with in the first place.
