I Think EAX Advanced HD support would be a nice add on for MP. I know the good guys at Raven "might" be working on it allready, but who knows?!?

I can live without it but it would be nice to get that true 5.1 from the sp in mp  :s13:

I hope they do.  I've already upgrading my graphics card since buying this game.  Would happily upgrade my sound card and speakers too if they implement it in the mp game.

Could care less about it's being in the sp game.  Great sound isn't enough to make me play the sp game (haven't yet), but it would be a great addition to mp.

You can get 3D Audio with any amount of Speakers - Headphones, 2, 4 or 5.1. More if the Soundcard supports DirectSound3D for it too.

I thought SoF2 MP didn't even have EAX, shouldn't we ask for that (EAX) first, before asking for the "Advanced HD support"? I don't know much about sound hardware/software but shouldn't we take it one step at a time. Also, can someone clear up for me what EAX really is?

EAX Advanced HD is backwards compatible. If they support that they support EAX as well. Over what it is, well just read these 3 guides;
1st http://3dsoundsurge.com/features/articles/ds3d.html
2nd http://3dsoundsurge.com/features/articles/EAX.html
3rd http://3dsoundsurge.com/features/articles/APIs/APIs.html

I agree Shadows!!  True 5.1 positioning audio would be great in SOF2 MP!!!  And using the EAX Advanced HD coding I might add!  What soundcard/speaker system are you currently using?

would you sacrifice a better net code for eax ?

i can hear  where the  bad guys are coming from left and right already .. eax may end up   eating away at what net code  is already established  as it will consume cpu  cycles   as well as processes  by your entier main board .. maybe thats why raven left it out .. so the net code   could and would work more efficiently ..ya have  to figure the added   sounds would have to add to  what gets sent back and forth from clients  to server  and increase packets   ..so yea eax would have an impact on  the game   ..just  like it does give a performance hit  in single player ...
