Thanks Ramrod. :)

On a sidenote, after setting my com_maxfps to 200 I now see framerates of 120/130 in certain areas, which is what I expected to see with the machine I now have.

That Vsync issue also totally nuked my load times, it took the game well over a minute to load levels before, it now does so in 20 seconds. Go figure..

Would you mind doing a step-by-step on what you did to fix your FPS problem? :s17:

Thanks.

here is his method summed up:

right-click on desktop, go to properties
settings tab -> advanced
click the tab with your card's name on it
click on additional properties
click on "opengl settings" tab
using the dropdown menu for "verticle sync" change it from "on by default" to "always off"

see if that helps

i personally cant say whether it worked or not, because my PCs are quite slow, one is a 600mhz with GF2 Ti and the other is a 1.5ghz athlon with GF2 MX, so they are probably running the game as fast as they can, especially seeing that i am running everything on high :p
