Well I own both.

AMD 1.33GHZ TBird 512MB DDR  and ASUS MB
P4 S423 1.7 GHZ 512MB RDRAM 800 with Intel 850MB

The 1.33GHZ Athy Owned the P4 1.7GHz LOL!  :s14:
Athy Won on MadOnion Same Video & Sound Cards.

So thats the story. Was real disappointed when I
got the P4 itsa long story how i ended up with Both
but I Did.

To be fair the S478 P4 is faster than the P4 S423 I
have.

And Stay away from RDRAM omg what a rip. And its hela
hot too. Ouch.

Get DDR RAM with either P4 or Athy. P4's are alot more
money than athys but cooling is easier on P4's.

Well...

AMD 1700+ (1467 mhz) vs. Intel P4 1700 mhz

AMD costs about 3000 eek.- (Estonian kroons)
Intel P4 costs about 7000 eek.- (Estonian kroons)

What would u buy then? :D

Only good thing that P4 has, is that it`s cool... no need for huge and noisy cooler and It can handle RAMBUS memorys that amd cant.... rambus is about over 400 mhz :p sweeet but thats all!

Overally Is AMD better everydamnway!
