these questions.  

Options I think should be considered for Servers.  Please take a look at the list below, test it out for yourself and provide accurate information so that game play is based on user input.

g_suicidePenalty - ?

g_teamkillPenalty - ?

g_team_AutoJoin - Should players come into a game and choose a team or be placed on a team depending on the number of players on each team?

g_teamForceBalance - Set whether clients will be forced to join other teams that need help the most.  Set to 1 the server will place you where you are best suited based on its calculations.

g_speed - Sets the speed at which clients move.  Default is 280.  Set higher clients will move faster, vice-versa

g_gravity - Sets gravity in the world.  Default is 800.  Set lower makes you jump longer and higher.  300 is a good number 0 is silly there is no control.  Should we have a 10 minute Kam2 with these settings and a ctf of 4 just for a between CTF free for all ?

g_knockback - Sets amount of push a client gets for being shot.  Default is 700.  set it higher to increase amount of push, vice-versa.

g_forcerespawn - Sets whether a client must click the button to respawn after death.  Set to a 1 client will automatically respawn. 0 to have to click.

g_inactivity - Sets time to kick user for doing nothing.  How much time?

g_respawninvulnvulnerability - Sets time that client is protected after respawn, but is negated once the gun is fired.  How long?

g_timeouttospec - If you time out and get stuck this is the amount of time to wait before making you a spectator.  How long?

g_teamkillDamageForgive - time it takes to forgive someone for killing a team mate.  Default is 1 minute intervals. How much time should it be?

Please take some time so that I can create a top notch server environment for all you guys.. :)

Hey Zero. On the admin forum page you asked me for my cg. What I would like is for you to go to our server and try it out first and then tell me if you like it.

There are certain seeds that we wish not to share for the purpose of us having an archive of 8 cfgs that we are going to be rotating in. Tho if you really like the seeds we will share with other admins.

You can get the seeds ingame. Just open the menu (esc) and select about and the seed is displayed.

g_forcerespawn  Purely a personal choice for the server admins.  Don't think it really matters to most of us, I know I don't care either way in SoF2.

g_inactivity, g_respawninvulnvulnerability, g_timeouttospec ,Again, purely an admin's choice, your server, your bandwidth.

g_teamkillDamageForgive  This one, 1 minute should be good.  Most purposeful TKers kill a lot of people quickly, usually before a single minute is up.  If it becomes a problem, set it half the round time, so people can't tk a couple now then tk a couple more a minute or two later and get away with it.

I might be one of the few people that do care about g_forcerespawn.

Set this to 1.

This may be a personally thing, but I often find that I either forget to click immediately to respawn, weekends particularly as I’m usually smoking weed when playing.  Having respawn automatic is much easier and eliminates this.

My 2c answers:

g_suicidePenalty - 30 sec wait to rejoin, to think about your mistakes

g_teamkillPenalty - tk=50%+ 60 second wait, to know that you are doing more harm that good

g_team_AutoJoin - leave that to the admin

g_teamForceBalance - Set whether clients will be forced to join other teams that need help the most.  (make changes between rounds only)

g_speed - Fast speeds are good for big maps, but slower speed alow for cearful movement planing, and created a more relistic game play

g_gravity - could work well for Stargate type mod, of space station map hint hint.

g_knockback - This created a feeling of ' fear of being shot' which make game play more edgy. Also think about in life you are quite disorintated when you are shot, recreate the feeling if you like. I like it.

g_forcerespawn - Let player select respawn, he may want to swap weapons for a diffrent attack.

g_inactivity - Only absolutly frozen motionless nothing for 2 min, interuption like pizza delivery are excuseable.

g_respawninvulnvulnerability - 5 sec max

g_timeouttospec - 2 min

g_teamkillDamageForgive - after the 60 sec ban for 50%+ team kill see above.

g_suicidePenalty=-20  Will make spammers finish with a negative score.
g_teamkillPenalty=-20
g_team_AutoJoin=Yes. It's annoying when a group of friends comes to a server and they all join the same team.
g_teamForceBalance=Same as above.
g_speed=400 is a good speed. If not, the default is fine. Faster is just dumb.
g_gravity=Default.
g_knockback=Set it higher than the default to enable you to shoot people off ledges to their death.
g_forcerespawn=Yes. I hate it when they just wait and wait.
g_inactivity=10 seconds. I hate campers. :s4:
g_respawninvulnvulnerability=3 seconds.
g_timeouttospec=2 min
g_teamkillDamageForgive=No way.

When I join a game, I see how many are on each team, and if one has more I join the other... or if my other option is to join the team that sucks in wins....( I think I might help, but I probably just make them suck even worse).....
TK'ing.. thats a hard one... I had 2 in a row last night, both were because someone ran in front of me...... and there was a 3rd in another game, but he was TK'ing the team, and when he got the player next to me, and then started on me, I got him once in the head...  LUCKY...  I would say no more than 2 in a row, and then 2 or 3 mins, and if it happens again, warning, then the 4th, gone...  too complicated...
Keep gravity close to real... I can't play the ones where the gravity is so low that you can almost fly... everyone kills me  :s14:

I personally think g_speed and g_gravity shouldnt exist because it just makes it hard to find a server.  The game is totally different at 400 then the default.

Now if you want some fun, done this a few times when hosting a sever

g_speed 700

g_gravity 300

Also isn't there something there set the points for capture the flag and escape with the case...? if so set them to 1 or 2 points, so ppl will stop score-hunting.
