XP pro works fine for me.. home was also good but in my new comp i got xp pro.. 98 worked well for me for quite a time.. ME wasnt good enuff for me.. and 2000 well when u run more than 50 games on it u find out that it sucks..

p.s. it would really be nice to let ppl know which games were tested and how many of them on a certain OS.. comparing 2K with XP and saying that XP is not better isnt right unless u put some statistics.. here..

tested every single game that i own on 98 and everthing works..

tested every single game on Win XP home since MOHAA.. and everything works.. SOF2, JK2, NFS:PU, DS, NWN, WARCRAFT3, F1 2002, NHL 2002, FIFA 2002, FIFA world cup 2002, older games include, UT, SSAM I and II, Spiderman the movie, also Freedom Force, IL2-sturmovik, Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver 2, World War 3: Black Gold, and many more.. all run on XP. even the side scroller abuse (1992) runs on XP, also Duke Nukem MP runs fine..

dunno abt 2K though..and also i used XP on P3 450 for over 5 months.. and it wasnt a resource hog at all.. things worked faster on XP then 98..

i also had problems with the mouse acceleration in xp when playing sof1, but then sof2 came out and my aim is perfecto

id say go with xp home, pro jst gives the regular user a bunch of extra stuff that u probably wont use..

xp home alos manages memory better........so ive heard
