I'm sorta new to this whole gaming thing. I see guys talking about binding keys and so forth. Could someone please explain exactly what this is and how it is done. Thanks in advance.

Binding is when you assign a certain key to do or say a certain thing... EX - Press "1" Key and it will say "Affirmative" that sort of thing... I hope i helped

And to bind stuff you bring down the console (shift + ~) and type "bind (key) (function)" ie: bind p giveall would make it so every time you press 'p' it gives you all weapons and ammo and stuff (provided cheats are enabled)

No, binding will work with or without cheats... but if you try and bind a cheat to a key then hit the key with the cheats off it'll just say that cheats aren't enabled.

Open your config file, add the line bind key “command x” Replacing "key" with the keyboard button to use & "command x" with the desired command to be used upon pressing that key.
