Making an infiltration map.  Almost done, but I don't know the console command to check the r_speed. Its getting kinda big and I'm scared if I keep going, it'll affect gameplay. Can you judge by FPS? I'll post few pics later.

Thanks in advance.

I have read somewhere theat you can't check r_speeds anymore... so you have to judge your map by checking the FPS.

To check r_speeds type ...

"r_speeds 1" in the console and you get r_speeds :)

If you want to see how the world is drawn check up my other post called "Mapping Questions Part1"

I think I'll add some more comments to help you guys out.

yes, you can check r_speeds, its just they are not the be all end all of map preformace in quake3 games.  now that we have multitextureing and lod scaleing patchs it makes things a little trickyer.

Yes, they are important. And I am not getting into this again.

Why would I know? I spent 4 years on SoF and SoF2.
