just curious if it is possible to do a trigger that makes something break (like maybe a platform you are walking on) in EF? Or is it solely Single player mode?

Since the 1.2 patch, it is possible to make things func_breakables in HM.
For the effect you want, make the platform a func_breakable, in the entity window you check the box "invincible", make a trigger_multiple on top of the platform, and link the trigger_multiple to the func_breakable.
Now, if you walk on the platform, it will break.

And if want to make it a bit more advanced:

For a more realistic effect, you could make the platform out of several func_breakables, and use target_wait entities to make the several pieces break apart with delay, so you get a more realistic collapsing effect. However, if the platform is relatively small, this isn't needed.

I may incorporate that into the 2nd Surefall. I've hit a snag in releasing it....the bears keep eating everyone...  :s13:  :s13:

Seriously...hard to map when my home is a 1985 Mercury Topaz. Once in a while I get a place to stay but this last week I've been sick as a Ferrengi courting a Klingon. With a Romulan flu virus.

Ok that made no sense...anyway, back to the posts. :s27:

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your plight...  At least when I was living out of my car, it was only because I was working two full-time jobs about 45 minutes away from my "home" (my father's place, at that time), and because one of those jobs was third-shift at a truck stop, I had easy access to shower facilities.  And thankfully, I was living out of a 1980 Dodge Aspen, not a Ford product.

Not to make light of your unfortunate situation, Wwazman, but are you anywhere near a river?  :s20:

Anyway, that func_breakable setup Mixed described will work beautifully in HM.
