Ok, Basicly what I want is this:

You have a dark room, and when you hit a trigger, the light turns on with light style 10. I have tryed some ways but they didn't work. I hope you know how to do this.

Secondly I have a strange problem. I have placed a custom texture in my map. When I did the normal lighting well, everything was ok but when I made a switch of my 2 lights in that room my custom textures look very bright and white [ohwell].



What can I do about these 2 problems?

nice to hear you're still mapping sp,

about your questions;

- place a light and a trigger_multiple

connect them by giving them these keys and values;

light;
key; targetname
value; 1

trigger_multiple;
key; target---value; 1
key; wait -----value; 2
(when you're now walking through the trigger the light will come on. when you want you're light to come on when the player pushes a lightswitch, in that case give the trigger_multiple also the next one;
key; spawnflags-----value; 2.
and place the trigger in front of the wall where the lightswitch is placed, you also could place there a button fuc.)

about that with you're custom texture;
it sounds to me that it has to do with you're custom shader.

Hmm it doesn't seem to work. When I do as you described the light is still on when I enter my level.

strange, i'm sorry i can't try it myself now, it's late and i have to bring someone to the train.
