Hey,

I just started mapping for Single Player. And well I don't know how to adjust the angle of my sliding door.

It always opens to the left [ohwell]. It doesn't matter if I change the angle it keeps opening/sliding to the left side. How do I change this?

ps: I am using: door, sliding door. I can't seem to find the Func_door. That is the one I always used in MP. Do I mis some things?

Try using the key "angles" and a value "0 360 0" to move it to the right. Just change the middle value (360) to whatever angle you want.

Spy should be able to help you more.

yes, both work, rotating and slidingdoors.
how you do it is right scritpkiddy, with mp mapping i think it is func_door, but with sp it is door, sliding_door.
for the angle of the doors you use like baltic.forever mentioned, angles o 360 0 (for instance).

you can use this function for lots of other things; making the slidingdoor in a plateau and you have an elivator.

am very glad to see that you want to make a sp -map!

when there a re more questions, just ask. because there are a lot of things the same between mp and sp, but there a re also manny things different or impossible. but you get also very mutch back with sp mapping, things that are impossible with mp, (for instance the option of animated models or breakeble brushes!!)

and when you made process with building, maybe you show us a screeny?

I don't get this.

I want to make a sliding door. One part moves to the right and one part moves to the left. They open in the same time when you hit the trigger.

Now yesterday all my doors moved to the left and now after the "0 360 0" thing, all my doors are moving to the right. I gave the left door other values and that one still moves to the right.

What do I need to do??

If you want the left door to move left (when viewed in the 2D window), then a value of 0 180 0 should make it move left.

when mapping SP always run RadiantSP.bat to start the editor.

also make sure you have it set to use "entitiesSP.def"
it should NOT be set to use "*.def"

follow the sdk setup tutorial its all in there

don't get me wrong, sdk is a good program, but i personaly prefur gtk. it's more up to date.

about the angles;

looked at the slidingdoors in the 2d window top;

door to the;
left 0 180 0
right 0 360 0
up 0 90 0
down 0 270 0

for the elevator;

give the platform (with door sliding_door) a

key
270 0 0

and a

lip
-300

now the elevator goes 300 WU (World Units) high.

succes,
leon

Ok the doors work :)
Thanx for the help and thnx Narc for the final look at the problem.

I have tryed the funcion delay but I don't understand this function. It acts kinda strange.

What I want:

I want to give my doors a delay of like 10 secondes. So you hit a trigger multiple, after you hit the trigger it takes 10 secondes and after those 10 seconds the doors open. Is this possible?

i'm afraid not.
the func_delay does excist in mp mapping mode, but not in the sp mode.
so what you want with the doors is impossible.

i wanted to make ones a dark hallway, the player should activate the lights that would come on one after another, (every light would be a little delayed after another).
but it was not possible to make.

yep, sp has some things that doesn't work, this is one of it.
