how can i enabled agp fast write..?
it's enable in the bios, but the aliagp utility gave me disabled and i can't enable it, can't check the box...
need some help

Athlon 1.2G w 512 Ram on a asus a7a266 (bios 1011 , chipset driver 1,07 integrated)
GeForce2 Ti 64 megs (detonator 29,42)
Sblive! Uptodate driver

Don't bother. When I enabled it in the bios my fps went to ####!

Your vid card has to support agp fastwrite.

typically if u have good bios if you attempt to check a setting that is not supported it returns back to its default setting.sounds like your mobo dont support it

dont feel too bad,i cant turn mine off!!

rivatuner report both vid card and north bridge : agp fast write  support, but disable...
my board support it.
am i missing someting?

If you download NVmax instead from majorgeeks.com you can force Fast writes with that, though if its still automatically no worries.
Updating your AGP Drivers might help enable it.

what exatly does agp fastwrite do,sounds like something good ,anything with fast in it sounds good lol,,,but is it really ??
all those agp settings in those nvidia tweak progs,wonder if someone knows a website somewhere that explains all thee settings?>

It allows the CPU to send data to the Graphics card without having to go through RAM, making it a far more optimal approach.

Ideally this should increase performance, though at least with earlier AGP 4 implementations it actually made performance slower.

If you use NVmax then I've all the settings in that covered here
