you have to change the .JPG file itself.

When you save the .JPG there are two choices for encoding.. Standard or Progressive.

Standard is the kind that on web pages you see it start drawing from the top downwards.

Progressive (RARELY used anymore.. this was a good think back in the 2400 baud days but not so much anymore) draws a very rough, low res version of the .JPG and then starts re-drawing it progessively increasing the resolution.

The idea was that low speed users could at least see some sort of picture while downloading from your friendly local BBS (No internet at the time!)

maybe it requested a pizza? life would be so boring without cryptic error messages lol

p.s. when i had a 28.8k modem i liked the progressive images they made it alot easier to wait for web pages to load :)

Are your .JPG sizes a 'Power of 2'?

ie.

64,128,256,512,1024 x 64,128,256,512,1024

Loading screens in particular MUST be 512x512

The only reason you are getting this error ( at least from searching the internet and other forums), is that one or more of youre .jpg pictures / custom textures have been saved as progressive instead of standard encoding. Which is what has already been covered.

Sorry I would like to help, but this is the only cause I have been able to find.
