I hate to state the obvious, but if a number of CS players switch to SoF2 then that is a good thing, at least for Raven.

If people want to suggest things from CS then let them. Raven can take what they want and leave the rest.

Everyone I know thinks the CS V.I.P mode sucked. How many servers did you refresh and see Oilrig map with no-one on it.

I thought the V.I.P shouldn't have had a gun..(was that how it ever was??? Apoxol?) but Tundra and Oilrig were such pants maps too. :s3:

the assassination game mode in CS was nearly as stillborn as the 'escape' game type.  both suffered from crappy maps and bad support.  assassination games as a concept were OK, but who wanted to be the helpless VIP?  
 Lots of people would just leap over the edge of the map on oilrig a couple of times so they could get back to playing the game instead of doing time as an objective. :/

 and in Urban Terror, Follow the Leader (sort of like assassination, except the VIP is fully armed) never took off- try and find a FTL server, heh.

 It sounds good in theory, but two seperate large communities have both shunned it, so probably not a good thing to spend time on for the SoF folk.  ;)

I agree, they are complete crap that should never have been thought of.

One type of gameplay I would like to see is the "keycard" way from FLF.

What you basically do, is grab the keycard (which is heavly guarded) and bring it to a door, or something. You then need to destroy/capture the object behind that door and you win and switch sides.

A Frontline Forces idea, now here we go. A game maybe 100 players still play. Come on, be realistic Darkcow. That was one/is the worst mod to have ever been made for Half-Life. I remember playing that, I think at 1.0 and 1.1, totally over run by certain players and completely destroyed. They took forever to put patches out and every time it came out they changed everything. And I hear it is still the same, these developer are smoke pot or something. First they say weapons are balanced, then they change them again.. Everytime a patch comes out it is a different game.

If this is one game we should not look at, it would be FLF, I call it the n00b force. Completely fake. What a disappointment. Possibly even the worst Mod of Half-Life award should be given to it.

How about a moving NPC, like a president with his body guards, where the NPC follows a path (maybe you could even set up a few waypoints or whatever and have him be random) and one team has to see to it that the president reaches the destination. You could give the team a head start on the president to take positions and try and take out the other team. I played all of 15 minutes of cs, I found it too slow myself, so forgive me if this is exactly the game mode that got rejected before.
