Hello,

I'm new to all this posting stuff, so be gentle. :(

Any how. When loading Multiplayer maps I sometimes get a failure due to 'Unsupported Marker Type 6xfc' etc...  I think this is something to do with graphic's. But as I'm not a tech head I don't now how to fix it. I have tried installing the latest drives for my Geforce 2 graphics card but to no avail.

Any suggestions?.......Anbody?

Cheers,

Guv

Your game didn't install properly from the CDs, as that is a corrupted JPG file.  Download Wiser to have it verify your installation.

I'm travelling at the moment, so I'm not going to be at my home PC until probably early July now. So I'll try the WISER program and let you know.

Cheers for the response by the way.  It's a top game, and who knows, one day I might even be able to shoot somebody. :s23:

Or maybe I'm just running the A-Team patch. They didn't hit anybody either.

Cheers

Just out of interest, how can the files get corrupted when their being copied down / unzipped etc?

Other programs running at the time of installation perhaps?

Sometimes life is just stranger than nature intended.

The installer does not do any type of verification of the files when they are copied over (yeah, I know - in terms of monty python, those responsible have been "sacked").  So a number of factors could result in this - dusty cd (we've seen one of these here at raven), scratched, or just doesn't like your dvd/cd rom.

Okay,

Run the wiser program. It deteced errors as I suspected. I've done a re-install but still have the errors.

Is there a manual way of intsalling the pk3 files?

Cheers,

Copy them from the cd directly to your base folder.

Couldn't you just copy the pk3 files from your cd manually?
