Pitviper -

I did not mean that YOU were a "dumbass".  I was directing that at the people I was talking about in the post: reviewers who can't do simple things like get through the stealth levels.  I actually was not addressing you in the post at all.  My response in this thread was not meant to belittle you, but rather to point out that online reviewing as a source of information can be dodgy.

As for all the age cracks and so on that you have made now - I assume all that was based on the mistaken impression that I was somehow trashtalking you.  I am sure you will be pleased to edit your post to retract them, and that we can all get along in glorious peace, harmony, and the odd polygonal dismemberment.

Seems like some people don't understand what an opinion is.
If somebody likes something and you don't, it's perfectly fine. They have a different opinion. They're not trying to antagonize you. Look at it from the other side. Apples and oranges. How do you eat your toast? Butter side up, or butter side down? Either way, you're eating toast.

I would admit in a New York Minute that I didnt buy SoFII (or any FPS game) for the Single Player aspect of the game.  For me its not a question so much of was it good, or bad???  But SP FPS titles just do not hold my interest.

I get bored playing by myself against computer AI.  One of the reasons is that after the first few levels you really have a bead on how the CPU AI handles itself in various situations and you can change your tactics.  The other (more important) aspect is that I just have more fun playing online with my "crew".  The teamwork, jokes, and excitement when you are really working well together are what FPS titles are all about for me.

This is true for #### near all FPS titles... Half Life... it was ok... but the Single Player aspect got boring after a while.  I kept it for CS, to play online.

SoF1, liked it, but got bored.  Kept it to play online.

Theif and Theif II... got boring... too slow

System Shock 2... very cool, nice ambience, but got bored and quit a few levels in.

SoFII... played almost all the way through, but then got into NeverWinter Nights for a SP game... still LOVE SoFII online though... Put a lot of time into that.

Anyway... I am sure that this will bring on some flames... but remember, I am not saying that the SP aspect of the games I listed SUCK... I am just saying that I got bored, and had to quit and move on to something else.

And I am very Very VERY disapointed that Unreal II will have absolutely NO MP aspect... very very lame.
