I have notice alot of people havn't overclocked at all on the fourms & they seem to be better off speed wise in SOF2.

My system is overclocked. but only my processor.

i have an old 750 t-bird that runs perfect at 900mhz as long as i turn the voltage up to 1.85v.  thats multiplyer only by the way.  my main system is an athlon xp 1900+ and those require a bit more work to alow multiplier adjustments than i care to put into it as it works just fine the way it is.

btw, multiplier adjustments are not going to cause any problems as long as they are within the limits of the processor at whatever voltage you can push it at and as long as you can cool the chip properly.  one can test this by runing a program like prime95 that will check for math errors.  fsb adjustments on the other had can cause all sorts of trouble when they are out of normal running specs for your motherboard chipset.  then again fsb tweeking can add preformace too and wind up running just fine in many cases.

Althon T-Bird 1200 -> 1248
Gainward GF3 220/480 -> 225/545

CPU can go higher but won't restart right 50% of the time.

I personely dont over clock, dont have the mother board for it!

but what i see is that if your willing o over clock then you must have the money to cover a replacement if it blows up. so why not just upgrade, instead of risking your entire machine? :)

thats a total misconseption it takes a rather careless attitude to distroy anything while overclocking.  dont get me wrong it can be done but a careful overclocker will simply get more preformance for the same money.
