Personally I feel that 'the dot' crosshair is the best, giving the most accuracy. But down point is that I'll kinda lose track of it when moving, or in intense close quarter fire fights. The 'cross' type is the second best and others kinda obstruct the targets. I hope we can have the option of different colors. What do you think and which is the best?

Tend to use the dot myself, too. Strange, I thought less folks would use that one. But we've already got 4 of em.

Sadly, it works best when you're almost dead and it turns red

This is what I use:

seta cg_drawCrosshair "3"
seta cg_crosshairFriendRGBA "1,0,0,1"
seta cg_crosshairRGBA "0,1,2,1"
seta cg_crosshairSize "8"

Resulting in a small bright blue cross.  Very easy to see in any situation and small enough not to obscure most targets
