Your problem is:
Compaq.
You can take the money you spent on that and buy 2 clones better than that. Compaq sucks a$$ big time.

Not just Compaq.. ANY of the big names.

They all pretty much suck for big gaming, and if you want to do anything that custom, just forget about it.

Anyways, build your own, and you'll save a good 300-500$ at least. (Or have a local computer shop, put the stuff you bought online together for you if you have no clue) You'll still have a better deal.

i had a compaq and you know what fragger, saying they suck a$$ is an understatement   lol That's why i built my own. This rig kicks ultra ass. Any of the OEM's (dell, hp, compaq (which is now hp)) They all suck because they are loaded with bottlenecks. True, they'll come with a decent cpu, but i REALLY think they go out of their way to find the crappiest mobo, with most out of date chipset. Then IF it comes with DDR, it will use the crappiest DDR possible. IF it has AGP, it won't be 4X. IF it comes with an AGP vid card, it will be no better than a GeForce2 MX400. Build it yourself.

Well I'm fairly happy with my compaq still, after a year and 3/4 it is still able to play all the latest games with nice frame rates.  I bought an extra 384 megs of ram and a geforce 3 ti200.  SOF2 is able to be run at full details at 1024 with 2xAA (I get around 75 fps in MP).  However I will never buy name brand again, because you can always build a better computer for much less.
