from what i read, bungie have not released any information about HAlo comming to the PC, i think this would cost M$ far too much and even if it did reach the PC, it would need some serious work. i reacently bought GTA3, which Rockstar said they were going to completely rebuild the engine for the PC. i would say that this has not happened, which resulted in a seriously spec hungry game which i could even play on my 800 celeron even with 384mb ram!!

one of the heads of ms games said that they plans of bringing halo to the pc at this time in a recent interview, while he is not saying that it wont happen, its mearly not in the works. sorry i dont feel like diging up the link but i hope you will take my word on this. and i run windows as well as own an xbox, wich i use to play halo both on and offline among other great games. while i am overal happy with my experiance with these products i consider buying from ms akin to giveing the devil his dues.

I saw that also they won't be bringing it out any time soon as it may hurt the XBOX sales, i have an XBOX emulator & might rent out HALO & see if it runs

It must really upset Bill Gates when people like shiny feet slag off his products. I bet the BILLIONS of dollars are no consolation. Oh and BTW an XBOX costs £200 and will outperform a Geforce 3 equipped PC (only GF 4 is more powerful). And whats more, PC developers design games to a 'lowest common denominator' ie for people with GF2 an 800Mhz Celerons. The first game that will actually use GF3(forget GF4 for 18 months) will be Doom3, and that wont be out for a while. Go to Gamespot and checkout XBOX screenshots of: DOA3 Superman Project Ego Maximum Chase and Many more! We wont see PC games that look like that for years (Oh, and its a DVD player) Shiny Feet. You are a fool. And no doubt about 13.

SoF2 already has settings that can only be used by gf4s.

Yeah if the game runs on a Geforce 4!

I am sick of sending my details to Tech Support to get a frame rate over 25 the new drivers fixed it for a few levels then it dropped back down to the <25 mark.

Actually the point i was trying to make is that (the better) Xbox games are using the full potential of GF3. Though SOF2 may use some minor GF4 features, it makes very little difference compared to my friends GF2. We won't get games that use 'the power' of GF3/4 for 18 months/2 years, as only a small percentage of an already small market have them. You don't release a product that only 10% of your market can run!
