Hello there...

I'm SaDiSTiK aka =CW=PoiSoN. I've been playing for a long time now, but what happend to my SoF 1 is something i just can't understand.

When i play on our own server (=CW=) i can play almost every map. But when sibctf1 comes on the server and i get disconnect with the error  "Local map differs from server" . It started with sibctf1, now bronx won't work and strongholds isnt working either.... When i load sibctf1 on my own made server my sof hangs...

WTF is wrong...i really really like to know... I tried re-installing etc bout 4 times, including the registry settings.

THe strangest thing is sometimes i can play the map SIB. I guess it doesnt have anything to do with SoF 2...because as i can recall it already took place before Installing sof2...

My specs are :

MoBo: ASUS P3V4X
MEM: 512 SDRAM
PROCESSOR: INTEL PENTIUM 3 @ 866 MHz
Graphic: GF 4 ti 4600 with 128MB
HD's totals at 80GB
PLatform: Win 2000

Another strange thing is that under win 98 i can play all maps

Could someone help plz....

SaDiSTiK aka =CW=PoiSoN out.  ..

This has always been a weird one.
The "Local Map Differs from Server" error hasn't ever been pinned down or solved, to my knowledge.

If I remember correctly the pac files are the maps.
Try copying the pac files from another install.
I had this problem once and copied the files from an install off another disk.

Google search for it, perhaps?  Not sure.  It's been a while.

Try searching for WinPak "Quake 2" or something similar.
